What happened to Unscreen
Unscreen was owned by Canva. Its own FAQ announced that the free and pay-as-you-go service would stop on 1 December 2025 at 09:00 CET, and Canva's help centre now says that "as of June 29, 2026, Unscreen.com has closed". The address redirects to Canva's Video Background Remover, which is a Canva Pro feature, so the free, no-login unscreen.com workflow that people bookmarked is gone. Its sister tool remove.bg follows the same path: remove.bg shuts down on 1 December 2026, and BGNinja is the free alternative for still photos.
That workflow is what this tool keeps alive: open the page, drop a clip in, download the result. No account, no watermark, no subscription; ads keep the GPU running, and an optional one-time pass adds longer clips and 4K.
