Record your video, upload it, and the AI removes your real background. Then you place any image or video behind the transparent WebM in your editor, slide or web page.

Why it beats the call-app version

VideoBGNinja is built for footage with a person in it — a talking head, a vlog, an interview, a dance clip. Why this looks better than the one in your call app

Zoom, Teams and Meet all have a background feature, and if you've used one you know the look: a soft halo that breathes, glasses that vanish for a frame, a hand that disappears when it moves fast, hair reduced to a helmet. That isn't sloppiness — it's a budget. Their matting has to finish a frame in a couple of dozen milliseconds, on your laptop, while the same machine encodes and decodes a call. So the model is small, it often runs at reduced resolution, and it treats each frame more or less on its own.

Here the constraint is gone. Your clip is matted after the fact, on a GPU, with a model that carries information between frames — so the edge is steadier, the hair keeps more of its shape, and fast movement doesn't punch holes in you. It also produces something a call app never gives you: files. A transparent WebM, a green-screen MP4 and an alpha matte, which you can drop into an editor and adjust. A virtual background on a call is gone the moment the call ends.

The trade is obvious and worth stating: theirs is live and this isn't. For a meeting, use theirs. For anything you're producing — a recorded update, a course module, a pitch video, a clip that gets watched more than once — record clean and composite after.

Putting the new background behind you
