VideoBGNinja removes the background from short videos of a person, currently up to 2 GB and 90 seconds per clip. It runs AI matting (Robust Video Matting) on our own GPU hardware in the Netherlands — no green screen, no account, no watermark on the free export. Automatic matting is not perfect: hair, motion blur and low light can all soften an edge, so check your result before you publish it. The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
The core tool is free, with no account and no watermark. We also sell an optional pass — €5 for 30 days or €3 for 24 hours — a one-off purchase, not a subscription, that lifts limits rather than changing the underlying model or the output quality. Try the free version first and judge the result before paying for anything. Refund conditions for the pass are set out in full on our Refund Policy.
To keep the tool free for everyone we apply per-user limits: file size, clip length and one job at a time, enforced by IP address rather than an account. We may change limits, features or availability at any time — this is a free service running on real GPUs, not an unlimited cloud budget.
The tool runs on hardware we own and maintain ourselves rather than a redundant cloud cluster, so occasional downtime for maintenance or a hardware issue is possible. We don't promise a specific uptime for the free tool. If the paid pass is affected by an outage for a meaningful part of its period, that's covered separately in the Refund Policy.
You keep every right to the video you upload and to the results you download — we claim nothing over your content. The VideoBGNinja name, logo and site design belong to us; the underlying matting model is third-party and not something we license out.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VideoBGNinja is not liable for any damages arising from the use of this site or its outputs, including a matting result that turns out unusable for your purpose. Total liability is in any case limited to the amount you paid us: zero for the free tool, or the price of your pass if you bought one.
We may update this page as the service changes. The version shown here is always the current one, and continuing to use the tool after a change means you accept the update. We don't email you about it — there's no account to email.
