What helps us fix it

Video matting is the hard end of background removal: the model has to decide, frame by frame, which pixels are you. When a clip comes back wrong, these details usually let us reproduce it on the first try:

The shot itself. How close you are, whether the background moves, and how much contrast there is between you and it. A dark hoodie against a dark room is the classic failure case.
Hair, hands and edges. Most complaints are about one of the three. Say which, and roughly when in the clip it happens.
The file. Length, resolution, and what recorded it — a phone, a screen recorder, or an export from an editor.
What actually happened: an error on the page, a job that never finished, or a finished video that simply looks bad. Those are three different problems on our side.

Before you write

Two things come up often enough to mention here. A transparent WebM looks like it has a black or white background in most players — that is the player, not the file; drop it into an editor that supports alpha and the transparency is there. And a green screen still beats AI matting for fine hair when you have the option: the comparison page covers when each one wins.

What we cannot do

We cannot recover a clip you have already lost: uploads and results are deleted automatically, by design, so nothing stays on the server waiting to be retrieved. The privacy policy sets out exactly how long a file lives.

When to expect a reply

With an e-mail address, we aim to answer within a few working days. Without one your message is still read — plenty of fixes started with an anonymous report — it just cannot be answered. Nothing you send is used for a mailing list; there isn't one.
